Start by removing the front door trim panel then placing the watershield out of the way to access the front door latch. You should remove the bolt followed by the door glass channel before reinstalling it by tightening it to 12 Nm (106 lb-in). First disconnect the front door latch actuating rod of the door lock cylinder and unclip the exterior door handle actuating rod from its handle before removing the parts. Use the three front door latch screws to close the assembly while torquing them to 12 Nm (106 lb-in). The door ajar switch electrical connector and possibly the door lock actuator electrical connector need to be disconnected. The operator should positioned the door latch assembly to the side and remove the front door latch cable watershield before disconnecting the front door latch cable. Complete the front door latch removal by taking out the door latch push button rod and later removing the entire latch. Installation of the new latch requires performing the reverse procedure of removal.

You must start service and repair of the front door latch by taking out the front door trim panel then setting the watershield aside. After removing the bolt you need to remove the door glass channel and fasten all parts with 12 Nm (9 lb-ft) torque when reinstalling them. Start the front door latch service by detaching the actuating rod from the door lock cylinder then unclip the exterior door handle rod from its handle. Secure the three front door latch screws after installation when you tighten them to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft). Remove the electrical connections for the door ajar switch along with the door lock actuator electrical connector if present. Start by setting the door latch assembly to the side while removing front door latch cable watershield and then disconnecting the front door latch cable. You should remove the door latch push button rod before ending your removal of the front door latch. Proceedings for installation require following the opposite steps of the removal process.

Reverse the removal procedure to complete the installation.

Begin by removing the front door trim panel and positioning the watershield aside.

Disconnect the electrical connector and then remove the lower rear door latch by disconnecting the cable and conduit from it.

Remove the rear door trim panel.

Disconnect it from the door lock cylinder lever.

Position the door latch assembly aside, remove the front door latch cable watershield, and disconnect the front door latch cable.
