Service and repair operations on the rear sway bar link require the suspension to reach curb height alongside placing the vehicle into NEUTRAL gear while located on a hoist. Begin by replacing all sway bar bracket bolts before removing sway bar links and their link spacers together with bushings and sway bar link nut. Begin by throwing away the bracket bolts from the sway bar followed by removing both brackets along with the sway bar itself. Check sway bar bushings for replacement or continue using the current ones. The installation process should exclude any lubrication for sway bar and bushings after putting the bushings so their protruding side faces the left-hand side of the vehicle. Connect the bushings onto the sway bar when necessary. Make installation easier by wetting the brackets and then placing the sway bar along with brackets before securing bolts at 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs.). Put the sway bar links along with spacers into their place then install the nut and bushings and perform a torque of 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.). Both new parts and exact part numbers must be utilized and torque values should remain within specific limitations to maintain proper retention along with performance.
