Service of wiper motor begins with removing the windshield wiper motor cover. The wiper motor linkage needs manual rotation until wipers reach the highest position possible on the windshield when the motor is unable to operate. You should proceed with removing the wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft assembly while maintaining the wiper motor linkage arm on the wiper motor assembly because detaching it might cause wiper arm parking failure. Apply an appropriate equipment to disconnect the wiper motor linkage arm from the wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft assembly. Use a suitable tool to remove three bolts that fasten the windshield wiper motor before extracting the motor while tightening each bolt to 13 Nm (10 lb-ft) when reinstalling. The new wiper motor assembly can be installed by following the opposite order of removal steps including the already attached linkage arm.

Follow the installation process by tightening bolts to 13 Nm (115 lb-in) then perform the opposite steps of removal.
