How to service the windshield wiper motor on Ford Explorer?

Removal of wiper pivot arm and cowl grille panels makes it possible to service the windshield wiper motor. Take out the electrical connector and wiring harness of the motor. Take off the wiper assembly and motor mounting bolts and tighten to 15 Nm (11 lb-ft) when replacing. Lastly, undo the process to finish up with the installation.

How to Ensure Proper Functioning of the Wiper Motor on a Ford Ranger?

To service the windshield wiper motor, turn the wipers to the upright position, unconnect battery and open the right access cover. Loose the motor clip, undo the mounting arms and take out the motor. Installation Re-install by reversing the steps. The motor cannot be fixed and has to be changed in case of a damage.
