Service and repair of the engine oil dip stick and dip stick tube starts by placing the vehicle in neutral on a hoist position. Start by removing the oil level indicator followed by the removal of two bolts related to the oil level indicator tube. Discard the O-ring seal. Before reinstalling both bolts should be tightened to a torque value of 10 Nm (89 lb-in). The first step before oil level indicator tube installation should involve applying clean engine oil to the new O-ring seal. End the procedure by returning all components into their original position while verifying the new O-ring seal fixations.

Before servicing or repairing the engine oil dipstick and dipstick tube the operator must extract the oil level dipstick. Service the sealing surfaces for the engine oil dipstick by applying Metal Surface Cleaner F4AZ-19A536-RA or an equivalent product that satisfies Ford WSE-MSA392-A specification. Beginning the oil level indicator tube dismantling process involves unbolting the tube followed by its removal from the assembly. The installation procedure requires the tube to be installed within 4 minutes to avoid removal of sealant and re-clean of the area with Metal Surface Cleaner F4AZ-19A536-RA or an equivalent WSE-M5B392-A Ford specification that needs drying time until all wetness disappears or exceeds 4 minutes to stop oil leakage. To prevent oil leakage we should install the oil level indicator tube by using Silicone Gasket and Sealant F7AZ-19554-EA or equivalent material WSE-M4G323-A4 while also tightening the bolt and installing the oil level dipstick.
