To service the engine oil dipstick and tube, start by removing the oil level indicator tube by unscrewing the nut and taking out the tube. Discard the O-ring seal linked to the tube. To install, simply reverse the steps taken during removal.

How to Ensure Proper Functioning of the Dipstick and Dipstick Tube on a Ford Ranger?

In order to service the engine oil dip stick and tube, place the vehicle in neutral on a hoist. Take out the level of oil indicator and the two holding bolts and get rid of the O-ring cover. Tighten new bolts with 10 Nm, smear new engine oil over new O-ring and reverse the process of removal.
