Seat Cushion Pad

The front seat cushion service requires users to dismount the front seat followed by isolation of the safety belt warning indicator electrical connector before detaching the wiring harness from the seat base. Before proceeding you need to detach the retaining screws while releasing the retaining clip on the outer seat base side trim panel. The wiring harness needs disconnection from its seat base retention clips as well as electrical connector points. You must disconnect the drive cable connectors at the backrest motor on the seat base to detach the seat backrest drive cables. Disconnection of electrical connectors leads to termination of seat base wiring harness operations. Take the seat track assembly off and separate the cushion cover from the base of the backrest by untying all retaining strips from under the seat. The hog rings must be cut away from the seat underside to disconnect the cushion cover while lifting the cover and pad through the seat backrest from underneath. Creating the structure requires doing the opposite steps of what was needed for disassembly.

Reverse the disassembly procedure, making sure that the seat cover is correctly positioned onto the backrest frame to ensure proper alignment with the frame.

Remove the ten hog rings.

Begin by removing the front seat and disconnecting the safety belt warning indicator electrical connector.
