Begin the process of removing the rear seat cushion by fully disengaging its two latches because applying too much force will potentially damage them. While lifting the front seat cushion edge you can push to detach both edges from their respective floor and retainer points to remove the seat cushion fully. Install the rear seat cushion by placing its frame wire onto the rear retainers then perform the opposite order of removal steps until the safety belts and buckles become accessible to occupants.

Service of the rear seat cushion begins by checking that the two rear latches are disengaged before moving on to prevent any damage; avoid forcing the latches beyond their recommended limits of release. When the latches become free you can lift marginally upward from the front edge of the rear seat cushion to separate it from the floor before pushing it ever so slightly toward the rear to release the rear retainers. The installation of the rear seat cushion requires positioning the frame wire across the rear retainers while performing the backward steps of removal. Test that safety belts and buckles remain reachable for those riding in a vehicle after completing installation of the seat.
