Oil Pan

The first step for oil pan servicing or repairs requires users to disconnect the battery ground cable followed by hoisting the vehicle. The first step requires draining engine oil followed by disconnecting the oil pan bolts for its removal. Once you remove the oil pan you need to detach its gasket. During installation you should prepare two locations on the front cover and rear main bearing cap to receive a bead of Silicone Gasket and Sealant F7AZ-19554-EA which must meet Ford specification WSE-M4G323-A4 or any equivalent product. Position the new oil pan gasket before installing the oil pan along with its bolts. Follow these four steps to tighten bolts: Begin by torquing the four corner bolts to 12 Nm (9 inch lbs.), then advance to tightening the remaining bolts to 12 Nm (9 inch lbs.), afterward loosen all bolts by one turn and finally torque all bolts to 12 Nm (9 inch lbs.). Complete the engine procedure by pouring Super Premium SAE 5W-30 Motor Oil XO-5W30-QSP or an equivalent which adheres to Ford specification WSS-M2C153-G and reconnect the battery ground cable.
