    Starting the console assembly removal process requires application of the parking brake together with placing the selector lever in fourth gear if present in the vehicle system. First disconnect the battery ground cable and then uninstall the ashtray finish panel and finally disconnect all electrical connectors. Also remove gearshift knob if it exists together with any cellular phone electrical connectors which must also be disconnected. First pull the console finish panel assembly upward from the front to remove it along with the disconnecting of the traction control switch electrical connector if equipped and release of the cellular phone wiring harness from the assembly. First detach the console rear finish panel assembly through unclipping while pulling it backward. To start the procedure unfasten the parking brake boot from the console base followed by removing all three screws on the front and back of the console assembly while also removing the console air conditioning duct mounting screw. You will finish removing the console by sliding it to the rear position. The installation process should follow the opposite steps to removal.
