Radiator Assembly

Install the vehicle on a hoist with neutral transmission gearing to begin radiator servicing and repairing work. The cooling system requires draining before the removal of the cooling fan shroud and electric cooling fan bolts that need to be tightened to 12 Nm (9 ft. lbs.) during reinstallation. First disconnect the electric cooling fan electrical connector before removing the fan. The A/C tube clip needs disconnection along with both upper radiator track bolts that must be torqued to 12 Nm (9 ft. lbs.) when reattaching. The lower radiator hose needs removal from the radiator before disconnecting the push pin from the splash shield covering the condenser and transmission cooler. Finally, remove the shield and disconnect the transmission cooler retainers. The technician should carefully remove the lower radiator track bolts before reinstalling them with the correct torque setting of 12 Nm (9 ft. lbs.). To finish the process, reverse the steps of removal and perform cooling system filling and bleeding procedures.
