First service and repair work on the radiator can start by disconnecting the battery ground cable followed by draining the cooling system. The radiator service process begins by disconnecting automatic transaxle upper cooling lines and separating the 2.5L engine expansion tank hose. By removing the fan shroud nut, dismount the fan shroud before securely affixing it next to the work area. After vehicle elevation use a safety stand for support as you must secure any present air conditioning condenser unit. Detach the radiator lower coolant hose before uninstalling the right-hand bracket from the radiator. Vehicles with automatic transaxles require the disconnection of the transaxle lower cooling line as well as the air conditioner condenser detachment if present together with transaxle cooling lines. The procedure ends with removing both the radiator left-hand bracket and taking out the radiator itself.
