    Q:
How to service the radiator on Ford Expedition? Posted by Customer
    A:
A serviceable radiator requires the vehicle to sit in NEUTRAL gear on a hoist before starting work. The process starts with removing the headlamp assemblies on both right-hand (RH) and left-hand (LH) sides before proceeding with the cooling fan shroud. Move forward by uninstalling the two radiator-to-radiator support bolts while final tightening these bolts at 15 Nm (11 lb-ft) for reinstallation. The service procedure involves removing two degas bottle bolts and placing the bottle aside while reattaching these bolts to a torque of 15 Nm (11 lb-ft). After disconnecting the electronic connector, removing the bolt and separating the horn assembly you must install the horn assembly with 10 Nm (89 lb-in) torque. Disassemble the condenser core by first removing its six pin-type retainers between the air deflectors and core units then disconnecting both transmission fluid cooler hoses attached to the radiator. The four condenser mounts on the radiator need to be detached by moving the cooling module backwards while depressing retaining tabs on the lower condenser brackets to disconnect them. The installation requires reversing the removal procedure along with filling the transmission fluid level.

    Q:
How to service and repair the radiator on Lincoln Navigator? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step for radiator servicing requires placing the vehicle on the hoist with NEUTRAL position selected. Begin the radiator service by first removing both left-hand and right-hand headlamp assemblies and then the cooling fan shroud. The service procedure begins with removing two radiator-to-radiator support bolts that require secured tightening at 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.) before reinstalling them. Set aside the degas bottle after removing its two bolts while tightening them to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.) before reinstalling. Following the horn assembly removal from Navigator vehicles the technician should secure the fastener at 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) before reinstalling the horn assembly. Take out the six pin-type retainers located between the LH and RH air deflector attachments on the condenser core. The installation process requires the elimination of the two transmission fluid cooler-to-radiator hoses. The cooling module requires positioning it at the back to release the four condenser mounts from the radiator by depressing the retention tabs on each lower condenser bracket before lifting the assembly until the brackets separate. Complete the installation by putting the transmission fluid to the correct level while following the reverse order of removal.
