The programming process must occur at the same time for all keyless entry remote transmitters. A successful entry into programming mode will occur when all doors lock and unlock after switching the ignition from OFF to RUN eight times within ten seconds ending in just RUN. Every keyless entry remote transmitter should then be used to press their buttons which activates door locking and unlocking functions through a twenty-second time frame to verify proper programming. Pressing the button once more should yield results after waiting a few seconds; seek verification during this process unless door lock response is attained. A confirmation of programming success will occur when the doors both lock and unlock once after turning the ignition switch to OFF or waiting no longer than twenty seconds after programming any transmitter.

When the key is turned to the OFF position, 20 seconds have elapsed since entering program mode or the last transmitter was programmed, or the maximum of six RKE transmitters have been programmed.
