Power Steering Reservoir

The fluid removal process starts with draining the reservoir while utilizing a proper suction device to defend against system entry of contaminants that trigger early failure of power steering components. When reinstalling the power steering reservoir, later tighten the lower isolator bolt to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.). Remove the power steering reservoir-to-power steering pump hose by loosening the upper clamp followed by detaching the reservoir from the isolators. You must first take off the return hose by loosening its clamp then disconnecting the hose before taking out the power steering reservoir. The final procedure requires executing the task in reverse order to finish the power steering system installation.

A proper suction device must drain the power steering reservoir as a first step for servicing and repairs which helps maintain both power steering components and prevents contamination. The installation requires you to tighten the lower reservoir isolator bolt to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs). Beginning the process requires the disconnection of the power steering reservoir-to-power steering pump hose by releasing the upper clamp followed by detachment of the reservoir from its isolators. The procedure to remove the power steering reservoir starts with disconnecting both the return hose and release the return hose clamp. The installation is finished through a backward removal process followed by filling up the power steering system.

Reverse the removal procedure and fill the power steering system with the appropriate fluid.
