Service of the sun visor begins by removing screws (36041A32) and disposing of them. Fully detach the sun visor (3604118) from the vehicle by using strong force on the gasket adhesive. Disconnect its electrical connector at the same time. The next step requires the removal and disposal of sun visor gasket (36500A16). To remove rear rivet nuts from the vehicle a user needs to extract the headliner first. Check the relevant specifications to see if the hole is outside its specifications. The installation of new sun visor retaining screws or rivet nuts requires grinding or drilling of screw heads and rivet nut ends until they are flush before using a punch to pass the remaining length of rivet nut through the hole followed by new rivet nut installation. When replacing the sun visor gasket it becomes necessary to clean both sun visor and roof panel contact surfaces while wrapping electrical connector components with anti-rattle tape before performing reinstallation procedures in reverse order.

The headliner must be taken out.
