Battery Tray

Service and repair operations on the battery tray require battery as well as air cleaner intake tube removal as a first step. You need to disconnect the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor by taking out the bolt before removing the air cleaner intake tube. The first step involves removing the main fuse junction panel bolts as well as relay panel bolts. Then take out the battery tray bolts. The installation of the battery tray starts when operators loosen the wheel well bolt and remove the frame-mounted nut conducting the inner battery tray before completely removing the tray. The reversing order of removal steps will install the components properly.

The starting point for repairing the battery tray begins with removing the battery and the air cleaner intake tube. Prior to removing the air cleaner intake tube disconnect the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor using a bolt then disconnect its wire. Begin by unscrewing the bolts on the main fuse junction panel and relay panel then proceed with removing the battery tray bolts. The battery tray removal starts with loosening the battery wheel well bolt and the removal of both inner battery tray-to-frame nut until you can take out the battery tray.
