In order to service and repair the battery tray, firstly remove the battery. Next, remove the battery tray screw and loosen the screws to slide the battery junction box. Then un screw the battery tray and pull out. Installation is just a matter of undoing the steps of removal.

How to Address Issues with the Battery Tray on a Mercury Villager?

To perform battery tray service, first disconnect the IAT sensor, battery and air cleaner intake tube and then take off the battery. The second step is to remove the main fuse junction panel and relay panel bolts, and the next step is the battery tray bolts. Lastly, loosen the wheel well bolt and take the inner tray nut out. Installation is in reverse.
