    The first step when repairing or servicing the HVAC compressor manifold and tube assembly requires refrigerant recovery and vehicle hoisting with the gear selector set to NEUTRAL. First remove the deflector shields from the center and right side of the vehicle before disconnecting the thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) manifold and tube fitting while discarding the O-ring seals. Service and repair the HVAC compressor manifold and tube bracket by first removing its bolt then loosening the compressor manifold bolt and removing the compressor manifold from the A/C compressor unit while discarding both O-ring seals. Split the A/C pressure transducer electrical connector at its connector and unscrew the condenser inlet fitting nut while throwing away the O-ring seal. The technicians can remove the compressor manifold along with its tube assembly from the system. Installation requires the opposite removal steps while using lubricated new O-ring seals with clean mineral oil and the correct amount of clean PAG oil to lubricate the refrigerant system. Almost at the end you need to evacuate and perform leak tests as well as conduct refrigerant system charging. Refrigerant compressor oil (mineral oil) can serve as a proper lubricant for R-134a refrigerant system O-ring seals but the R-134a refrigerant system should not receive this oil as an A/C compressor lubricant. Replacement of the receiver/drier unit should be implemented when failed compressor contamination causes actual physical damage to the receiver/drier's internal components. Secure the compressor manifold bolt to 21 Nm (15 lb-ft) resistance while fitting the condenser inlet with a nut at 8 Nm (71 lb-in).

Following procedure requires the removal of the right-hand deflector shield together with the condenser outlet fitting nut and O-ring seal elimination before installing the new fitting to 8 Nm (71 lb-in). The technician should break down the thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) manifold and tube fitting nut before throwing away the O-ring seal and securing the new fitting at a torque of 8 Nm (71 lb-in). After discarding the O-ring seals from the receiver/drier fitting nut the installation requires tightening the new fitting to 8 Nm (71 lb-in). The bracket bolt of the receiver/drier requires 7 Nm (62 lb-in) torque setting before final installation. The installation process requires a return to removal order while adding fresh O-ring seals and performing proper PAG oil lubrication of the refrigerant system. The last steps include performing vacuum maintenance followed by leak testing and refrigerant system recharging.
