The service process for compressor manifold and tube assembly starts with recovering the refrigerant first. Climb the vehicle to NEUTRAL while placing it on a hoist. The service requires the removal of two coolant hose retainers from the cooling fan shroud together with the A/C pressure transducer electrical connector. Detach the compressor manifold by loosening its bolt before throwing away its O-ring seals then confirm new installation torque reaches 21 Nm (15 lb-ft). Remove the compressor manifold and tube suction fitting nut to disconnect the fitting before discarding all existing O-ring seals while installing new ones with a torque of 8 Nm (71 lb-in). After removing the condenser inlet fitting nut and disconnecting the fitting you should discard the O-ring seal by tightening the new installation to 8 Nm (71 lb-in). Petroleum Alcohol Glycol oil lubrication followed by O-ring installation completes the reassembly. Follow the disassembly approach in reverse while using new seals and applying the right amount of PAG oil to lubricate the refrigerant system. Complete the process by evacuating the refrigeration system for testing and leak detection followed by charging.

Services to the compressor to condenser discharge line start by recovering all refrigerant present. The first step is to replace the A/C compressor discharge fitting nut and unplug the fitting but discard the O-ring seal and gasket seal from the process. Follow the requirement to install the fitting at 15 Nm (11 lb-ft) torque. The A/C pressure transducer needs its electrical connector removed before the condenser inlet fitting nut gets loose for disconnecting the fitting. Dispose of both the O-ring seal and gasket seal while reinstallation demands a torque of 15 Nm (11 lb-ft). To install the compressor-to-condenser discharge line follow the reverse process of removal while using fresh gasket seals and O-ring seals. The refrigerant system needs a correct measure of clean PAG oil for lubrication before evacuation and leakage testing and final refrigerant charging.

Recover the refrigerant and drain the engine coolant.

Position the vehicle in NEUTRAL on a hoist.
