- Q: How to Service and Repair a Non-Functional Ignition Lock Cylinder on 2006 Lincoln Town Car?A: In order to maintain a non-functional ignition lock cylinder, unscrew steering column shroud screws, unscrew tilt wheel handle and unscrew battery. Unscrew the steering wheel, unscrew the ignition switch lock cylinder cap and unscrew the PATS transceiver. Insert the lock cylinder retaining pin and remove the cylinder cleaning any debris. Uninstall Reverse the process.
