- Q: How to service the rear bumper cover on 2006 Lincoln Zephyr?A: In order to remove the rear bumper cover to service it, detach the rear lamp assembly, 6 pin-type retainers off of the rear splash shield, 2 off of the lower bumper cover. then remove 2 bolts and 2 pin-type retainers on the top. Unplug the connector of the parking aid system (when it is present) and reverse the process to install the new cover.
