Speed Sensor Installation and Repair Tips for 2007 Ford Focus

  • Q: How to service and repair the Speed Sensor on the Turbine Shaft on 2007 Ford Focus?
A: In order to maintain the Turbine Shaft Speed (TSS) Sensor, disassemble the battery tray and air cleaner. Disconnect hose, delete air cleaner resonator and delete TSS sensor. Check sensor bore and O-ring seal and replace (where necessary). Before reinstallation apply transmission fluid to the O-ring and apply thread sealer to the bolt. Reprofit hoses and re-assemble components.
