- Q: How to Service the Shift Cable and Bracket for a Column Shift on 2007 Ford Taurus?A: Remove LH lower trim; retighten on reinstall. From left, pry cable off pivot ball, lift locking tab to free it from bracket. From engine bay remove cruise actuator, pry grommet, remove nut, detach and pull cable through dash. Reverse to install with new locking clip and adjust.
