Exhaust Manifold Installation and Repair Tips for 2008 Ford Taurus

  • Q: How to service and repair the left-hand (LH) exhaust manifold on 2008 Ford Taurus?
A: Repairing the LH exhaust manifold requires the removal of LH catalytic converter and HO2S followed by bolstering of the heat shield and exhaust manifold nuts. Wipe down the manifold, remove old studs and use no sharp tools. Install new studs and nuts, screwing to a given torque. Reconnect the catalytic converter, HO2S and heat shield.
