Fit the new strut assembly, align and tighten bushing nuts, reinstall bolts, refit hose and check alignment.
- Q: How to service the shock absorber on 2008 Mercury Mariner?A: In order to service the shock absorber take off the rear quarter trim panel, wheel and tire. Replace the upper shock absorbent parts discarding the old ones, and tighten the new ones to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft). Take off the bottom elements, loosen some new elements to 175 Nm (129 lb-ft) and then repeat the removal process in the opposite direction.
