- Q: How to service the rear suspension shock absorber and spring assembly on 2009 Lincoln Navigator?A: Take out the lower arm, throw out shock upper-mount nuts, fit new ones and torque to 40 Nm. Remove the assembly. Index-mark part, compress spring, hold rod, remove nut/washer, extract shock, discard nut. Install new shock 56Nm torque nut. Install the parts again in reverse with new identical components and given bolts.
