Make index marks on the rear flange together with the pinion flange and the coupling shaft as well as extension housing. The four bolts must be removed to separate the rear flange from the pinion flange before extracting the driveshaft by unbolting it and dropping the shaft as the slip yoke moves backward off the output shaft. The original bolts used for attaching the driveshaft to the axle can be safeguarded by applying Threadlock and Sealer EOAZ-19554-AA or an equivalent product that satisfies Ford specification WSK-M2G351-A5. Perform the installation by following the same order as the removal procedures.
