Service procedures on the A/C evaporator core start with leak inspection when removal is necessary. Start your procedure by switching off power on the battery ground. The service procedure begins with suction accumulator/drier extraction before reinstalling the vapor management valve and bracket after unfastening its nuts. The disconnect of condenser to evaporator tube must happen before accessing the A/C evaporator core. Access to the evaporator core cover starts by taking out the support bracket's screws and then following with eleven more screws and the release of three retaining tabs. This provides access to the evaporator core cover that requires removal. Finish the process by removing the core from the evaporator. During installation follow the removal procedure in reverse while performing correct PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil maintenance on the replacement evaporator core with F7AZ-19589-DA (Motorcraft YN-12-C) or equivalent oil that complies with Ford WSH-M1C231-B specification.
