    A: Service and repair operations on the rear door latch require first removing the rear door trim panel as well as the side impact energy absorption panel. First detach the door panel handle before proceeding to remove the screw leading to a separation of the door latch remote control. The door latch actuator electrical connector must be disconnected after carefully peeling the watershield without contacting the adhesive surface. Service the rear door latch by first unfastening the window guide runner screws then removing the exterior handle access hole grommet and finally loosening the exterior door handle cover with its screw.
