    A: A repair or service of the front door latch begins with removing both the front door trim panel and side impact energy absorption panel. First remove the screw then disconnect the door latch remote control and after that detach the handle from the door panel. Foothold the watershield carefully until the adhesive surface stays untouched to prevent any re-bonding issues. The service requires disconnecting the door latch actuator electrical connection before unscrewing it while allowing the component to detach from the door lock cylinder bezel. You must loosen the screw fully from the exterior door handle before removing the door lock cylinder bezel. First slide the exterior door handle to release it then eliminate the screws and separate the door latch by pushing it to remove. Begin by moving the security shield from the door latch then take out the door latch together with its exterior handle reinforcement plate. Disable the connecting rod between the exterior door handle reinforcement plate by turning the clip counterclockwise before disconnecting the door lock cylinder connecting rod.
