How to service the fan shroud and fan motor for the radiator cooling system on 2000 Ford Focus?

Service operations on the radiator cooling fan motor and shroud begin with disconnecting the battery ground cable and electrical connectors of the cooling fan motor. Unfasten both pins from the retainers before lifting and supporting the vehicle. Use great care to prevent unintentionally using too much force when undoing the cooling fan motor and shroud. Starting by releasing the top clips of the radiator allows you to lift both the cooling fan motor and shroud for their removal. The installation process will follow the backward sequence of removal.
