Remove the pressure cap with the help of the cloth after confirming there is no more pressure left in the system. Users must prevent the usage of Extended Life Engine Coolant F6AZ-19544-AA that satisfies Ford specification WSS-M97B44-D (orange color) since it causes severe damage to vehicles. The mixture of Standard (green) Coolant with Extended Life Coolant (orange) requires immediate system draining followed by refilling with the originally installed coolant type. Drain the engine cooling system first and after that remove the air cleaner and finish by taking out the bolts and water outlet connector. Remove the thermostat from the water outlet connector and thoroughly clean its two contact areas.
