Begin by removing the bolt from the generator strut bracket followed by loosening the retaining bolts of the water pump pulley before taking out the generator. You should remove all bolts from the water pump pulley before detaching the water bypass hose and pulling out the pulley with the water pump. Start by unwiring the crankshaft sensor from its stud after which you will remove the bolt and the belt idler along with the bolt and the belt tensioner. The end step of replacement is removing the eight bolts and four studs and the water pump from the vehicle. After cleaning the sealing areas of the pump housing reverse the installation order of steps when fitting a new water pump.
