How to service and repair the blower motor on 2000 Mercury Mystique?

In order to replace the blower motor, you need to remove the upper footwell trim panel on the passenger side by removing its pushpins and unscrewing the panel. Uninstall the electrical connection of the blower motor by slightly lifting up the securing tab after which the motor is removed by rotating it about 30 degrees counter clockwise. To install, hook up the tab and reverse.
