How to service and repair the throttle cable and linkage on 2001 Ford Escape?

To service throttle cable, loosen throttle cable by removing throttle cable connector to throttle lever and throttle pedal. Take out the bracket bolt, separate it out of the air cleaner outlet tube, and the dash panel. Do not pull the cable (housing). In order to install, reverse the procedure and put the grommet into the cable end.
