The first step requires removing the accelerator cable from both its positions on the pedal and the throttle lever. The sequence for accelerator cable removal is bracket bolt removal followed by detaching the cable from the air cleaner outlet tube and pulling it from the dash panel. The cable housing must never be pulled to service the accelerator cable properly. The installation procedure begins with reversing the removal process and a grommet removal step makes the installation easier by being fitted onto the end of the accelerator cable.
