When servicing the leaf spring on Super Duty F-250, F-350, and Excursion models, lift the vehicle, take off wheel and support the rear axle. Take out U-bolts, upper plate and bolts of the rear spring assembly. Install with new fasteners making sure they are properly torqued and that they are parts equivalent.
