How to service the wheel bearing in an independent rear suspension on 2001 Ford Explorer?

In an independent rear suspension, to service the wheel bearing, take off the wheel knuckle and make sure that the press adapter is smaller than the hub. Press off and discard hub and bearing. Refer to the removal process by reversing in order to install the new components because it is not permitted to use reused parts.
