Bothistribute silicone sealant to the differential housing cover surfaces as a new continuous bead before mating the rear axle to the housing cover. A differential housing cover installation needs to occur within fifteen minutes after silicone application or the new sealant application process will start again. The silicone sealant needs one hour of curing time until it becomes ready for lubrication. Securely tighten bolts on the differential housing cover after its correct installation. The required service level of lubricant should be filled into the rear axle space down to a position just beneath the bottom of the filler opening before plugging the filler. Before lowering the vehicle you need to add 236.5 ml (8 ounces) of additive friction modifier to Traction-Lok axles.
