The service begins by removing the sealing ring of the water pump housing while detaching it from its position. You will need to rotate the whole assembly 180° before pulling it completely out. Throw away the discarded sealing ring. After setting a new water pump sealing ring you should return to the removal steps before filling the cooling system.
