How to service the water pump on 2002 Ford Focus?

Remember to remove the battery ground cable, drain the cooling system in order to service the water pump. Loose the water pump pulley bolts, and pull out the accessory drive belt and pulley, after which the water pump is removed. Turn it upside down and take out, and disposition of the sealing ring. Install a new sealing ring and invert the process.
