The service process for backing plate repair begins by taking away the brake drum followed by parking brake cable disconnect. You must unfasten the wheel cylinder after which you should unclip the parking brake cable and conduit through the brake backing plate and direct these components out of the plate. Following bolt removal it is necessary to take out the ABS sensor before discarding both parts. Next disconnect all bolts securing the backing plate before discarding them. When installing reverse all steps from the removal process while adding new bolts to all necessary components.
