How to service and repair the power mirror switch on 2001 Lincoln LS?

In order to service and repair power mirror switch, you need to take off the instrument panel steering column cover, unscrewing the screws and disconnection of the electrical connectors. Then remove the upper finish panel and de-electrically decouple the electrical connector of the interior rear view mirror control switch and remove the switch. The steps are reverse to install.
