The brake disc needs removal for 4x4 vehicles during servicing operations. The procedure for disc resurfacing calls for on-board rotor machining which should comply with manufacturer instructions for the lathe. Begin hub and disc removal for 4x2 vehicles by disassembling these components through successive removal of hub grease cap followed by cotter pin, nut retainer and spindle nut, front wheel outer bearing retainer washer and outer front wheel bearing before taking off brake disc and hub.
