How to Service and Repair the Discharge A/C Hose on 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis?

Start the A/C discharge hose/line servicing procedure by disconnecting the ground cable of the battery. Start by following the procedure for refrigerant discharging and recovery to obtain the refrigerant. Pull the wire harness connection on the A/C pressure cut-off switch then take out the whole switch unit. First properly disconnect the A/C compressor from condenser discharge line through the removing of its supporting nut before completely separating this line from the A/C manifold and tube using spring lock coupling procedures. The A/C compressor to condenser discharge line should be disconnected from the A/C condenser core and the line should be removed. The installation process requires reverse application of removal steps while using PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil (R-134a Systems) F7AZ-19589-DA (Motorcraft YN-12-C) or an equivalent product that fulfills Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B to lubricate the O-ring seal.
