How to Service the Blend Door Actuator on 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis?

All servicing operations on air door actuators start with disconnecting the ground cable from the battery. Proceed to vacuum out the instrument panel according to dashboard and interior trim protocol. The removal process starts with disconnecting the connector after removing the panel. Then take out the four securing screws which hold the electronic blend door actuator in place. The unit becomes installable after removing the actuator by performing the process in reverse order.
