How to service and repair the cruise control switch on 2002 Ford Escape?

To maintain the cruise control switch, uncover the steering wheel cover and remove the steering wheel whilst maintaining any live air bag away. To remove the wheel frame undo the nuts and disconnect the ground wire. Disconnect the speed-control connector, unscrew and take away the switches. Uninstall Un-follow the same process.
