A vehicle lift and left-front wheel removal together with the splash shield permit access to the Turbine Shaft Speed (TSS) Sensor for service operations. Users should first disconnect the electrical connector before placing a drain pan underneath to remove the sensor by unscrewing the bolt. Check the sensor bore of the TSS unit for damage to verify the O-ring condition after which install a new seal when necessary. Start the installation of the TSS sensor by applying petroleum jelly to the O-ring seal and reattaching the electrical connector (white) before you take the drain pan away. The vehicle can be lowered after reattaching the left-hand front wheel along with the splash shield. Start the engine and use the transaxle range selector lever to test all gear positions before checking the fluid level to maintain the necessary transmission fluid amount. Use clean automatic transmission fluid for any required addition.
