Begin by disconnecting both the power steering gear return hose and the steering rear pressure hose before removing its securement strap to the gear component. The power steering pressure hose and pump need caps to keep them secure before lowering the vehicle for complete removal of the pressure hose and brackets using bolts. The technician should first disconnect the fuel charging wiring connectors through their electrical ports before unscrewing the fuel charging wiring support bracket bolt and taking the PSP switch electrical port loose. Start by removing the lower power steering hose retaining bracket bolt followed by removing its corresponding upper power steering hose retaining bracket screw which allows opening the bracket. The lower power steering hose bracket needs to be separated from the hoses before removing the middle power steering hose bracket screw and the power steering return hose retainer bracket bolt. The clamp needs loosening to disconnect the power steering return hose from the pump reservoir before throwing away the O-ring seals which maintain the hoses. The installation process includes applying lubrication to new O-ring seals according to need then placing the hoses into position followed by connecting the power steering return hose to the pump reservoir and fixing it to the clamp.
